My next two photographs will be of model railways. A big thank you to David White of Perth Model Railway Club for the use of his excellent scenic model railway layout for these pictures.

This picture is of the recently released Bachmann '00' gauge model of the newly built 60163 Tornado. The actual A1 Peppercorn class steam locomotive was built from public donations from 1990 through to completion in 2008 by the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust.

This model has wonderful detail and runs smoothly with all wheels having real flanges. Some model steam locomotives skimp on this detail and as a result run less than convincingly!
