When you travel around our roads, you often wish you had shares in cones and traffic management companies... well not so on the Outer Hebrides. Here we see the new 'motorway' (2 lane road to those on the mainland) under construction in North Uist. Whilst these improvements are welcome, the single track road was and still is part of the charm of driving there.

For the avoidance of doubt you were to keep left here and continue on the old single track road. I will post a picture later in the week that proves that this may not be quite as obvious as it sounds!
